Coming Back

The last time I posted on any kind of regular schedule was March 2021. It was a Tech Field Day recap, DriveNets at NFD24. That was the pattern for most of Everything Should Be Virtual. Event recaps, quick tutorials, how-tos. Something would happen, I would write it up, and that was the cadence. A couple of posts appeared in 2024, but I never got back into a rhythm.

The writing moved inward. My notes in Obsidian over that stretch are a different document than anything I posted. The work itself changed too. I moved from doing the implementation to leading the teams and projects doing it. That changes what is worth writing about. I started writing to figure out what I actually believed, not to write up something that had just happened.

Event-driven writing is reactive. Something gives you the topic and the deadline. The private work had no deadline and no topic handed to me. The structure had to come from the work itself.

This site is not a return to the old blog. Methodical Cloud is where the private work goes public. The name is not decoration. Methodical is the actual change.

If you followed the old site and wondered where I went, that is what I was doing. What shows up here will make the difference obvious.
